치쿤구니아 열, Chikungunya fever

Alphavirus와 Togaviridae 군에 속하는 Chikungunya 바이러스 감으로 생기는 감염병이다. 치쿤구니아바이러스병이라고도 한다.
치쿤구니아열은 열대지방에서 주로 유행한다.
고열과 심한 다 관절염, 관절통, 붉은 반점, 얼굴이 퉁퉁 붓는 증상이 수주 내지 수개월 동안 지속될 수 있다..
Aedes aegypti와 Aedes albopictus 등의 모기가 매개하는 바이러스에 감염되어 “뎅기열 (Dengue Fever)“과 비슷한 증상이 생길 수도 있다.
고열, 두통, 동통, 전신근육통, 관절통 등의 증상이 생길 수 있다.
불규칙하게 심하게 아팠다 안 아팠다 하는 이중 양상이 반복하기도 한다.
증상 진찰 소견을 참조하고 바이러스를 검출해 진단한다.
특효 치료약이 없다
예방 백신은 없다.
DEET나 Permethrin 또는 Picaridin 등 곤충 퇴치제로 모기에 물리지 않도록 한다. 긴소매 달린 위 옷과 긴 바지를 입어 예방한다.
대증치료를 한다.

Chikungunya fever

• It is an infectious disease caused by the Chikungunya virus belonging to the Alphavirus and Togaviridae groups. It is also called chikungunia virus disease.

• Chikungunia fever is prevalent in tropical regions.

• Symptoms such as high fever, severe polyarthritis, joint pain, red spots, and swelling of the face may persist for weeks or months. • Infection with mosquito-borne viruses such as Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus may cause symptoms similar to “Dengue Fever”.

• Symptoms such as high fever, headache, pain, general myalgia, and joint pain may occur.

• Irregularly, the double pattern of severe pain and no pain is repeated. • Refer to the symptom examination findings and detect and diagnose the virus.

• There is no specific treatment

• There is no preventive vaccine.

• Avoid mosquito bites with insect repellents such as DEET, Permethrin or Picaridin. Prevent by wearing long-sleeved tops and long pants.

• Treat symptomatically.
