2세 이하 외국 영유아를 양자할 때나 피난 온 영유아가 미국에 입국할 때는 결핵에 걸려있는지를 다음과 같이 진단해야 한다, Before any children under 2-year-old to be adopted or to be brought to the USA, they should have tuberculosis tests

 

  • 2013년 한 해 동안 미국에서 9588명의 새 결핵환자가 발생했다고 한다.
  • 2세 이하 영유아가 양자로나 피난으로 미국에 올 때는 법에 따라 결핵에 걸려있는지를 다음과 같이 진단받야 한다
  • 결핵을 진단하기 위해서 과거, 현재, 가족 병력, 진찰
  • 가슴 X선 사진 검사, CT 검사, MRI 검사,
  • 결핵 피부반응 검사(tuberculin skin test/TST), 인터페론 감마 방출 측정법(Interferon Gamma release Assay/IGRA) 검사, 핵산증폭검사(NAAT) 검사, ,
  • 흡인 위액, 가래, 기관 세척액, 늑막강 액, 뇌 척수액, 소변, 그 외 체액, 생체 조직 등의 피검물로 결핵균(M tuberculosis) 배양 검사와 결핵균 현미경 검사 등으로 진단한다.소스: MMWR 3/21/2014 and Red Book 29th

When adopting a foreign infant under the age of 2 or when an evacuated infant enters the United States, the following diagnosis should be made for tuberculosis: Before any children under 2-year-old to be adopted or to be brought to the USA, they should have tuberculosis tests

• In 2013 alone, there were 9588 new cases of tuberculosis in the United States.

• When children under the age of 2 come to the United States as adopted children or as refugees, they must be diagnosed with tuberculosis as follows according to the law.

• Past, present, family history, medical examination to diagnose tuberculosis;

• Chest X-ray examination, CT examination, MRI examination, 

Tuberculin skin test (TST), Interferon Gamma release Assay (IGRA) test, Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) test,

• Aspirated gastric juice, sputum, tracheal lavage fluid, pleural cavity fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, other bodily fluids, and biological tissue, etc. to diagnose M tuberculosis culture test and microscopic test for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Source: MMWR 3/ 21/2014 and Red Book 29th
