이소스포라증 Isosporiasis, (시스토이소스포라증, Cystoisosporiasis)

역학	열대지방과 아열대지방에서 유행한다. 난모세포에 오염된 음식이나 물을 통해서 감염될 수 있다. Isosporiasis를 Cystoisosporiasis라고도 한다.
원인	Cystoisosporia belli (Isospora belli)원충 난포체 감염으로 생기는 원충증이다.
잠복기	2일-1주
증상징후	질척지근한 설사, 물 설사, 피가 섞여있는 설사나 피가 섞이지 않은 설사를 할 수 있고 열이 나지 않거나 미열이 날 수 있다. 담관에 감염될 수도 있다. 면역손상이 있는 사람이 이 병에 걸리면 심하게 앓을 수 있다. 복통, 경련성 복통, 구미상실, 구기 구토, 체중감소, 흡수 장애 증후군이 생길 수 있다.
진단	변이나 십이지장관 내 장액이나 생체조직 검사에서 난세포를 보고 진단한다.
치료	TMP-SMX으로나 Pyrimethamine 또는 Nitazoxanid 등으로 치료한다.
예방	음식물과 식수를 분별있게 섭취해서 예방한다.

Epidemiology

It is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions. It can be transmitted through food or water contaminated with oocytes.

Isosporiasis is also called cystoisosporiasis.

Cause

cause Cystoisosporia belli (Isospora belli) is a protozoa caused by infection with the protozoa follicle.

Incubation period

2 days – 1 week

Symptoms and signs

You may have muddy diarrhea, watery diarrhea, bloody or nonblood diarrhea, and you may have no fever or a slight fever. Infection of the bile ducts may also occur. People with compromised immune systems can become very ill if they get this disease. Abdominal pain, crampy abdominal pain, loss of taste, nausea-vomiting, weight loss, and malabsorption syndrome may occur.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis is made by looking at egg cells in feces, intestinal fluid in the duodenum, or biopsy.

Treatment

Treat with TMP-SMX or with pyrimethamine or nitazoxanid.

Prevention

Prevention by sensible intake of food and drinking water.
