주기적으로 열이 나고
구강 내 아프타성 구내염이 생기고,
인두염과 경부(목 부위) 림프절염이 동시 생기는 병을 피파파 증후군 (PFAPA syndrome) 이라 한다.
원인은 확실히 모르나 후유증이 거의 없는 양성 질환이다.
보통 3세 경에 나타나고
섭씨 40~41도 고열이 5일간 계속될 수 있고
매 28일마다 주기적으로 이 병이 생길 수 있다.
비교적 경미한 경부 림프절염이 생긴다.
만지면 아프고 림프절이 보통 이상으로 커져있다.
구강에 아프타성 구내염이 생기고
경미한 인두염이 생긴다.
병력, 증상 징후, 진찰소견, 혈액검사 등을 종합해 이 병을 추정 진단하고 다른 종류의 감염병이 아니라고 진단한 후 역으로 진단하는 것이 보통이다.
Ibuprofen으로 해열 진통시키고
Cimetidine으로 예방한다.
